Dragon Rib Sword

In a class following the game art pipeline, we designed a sword made from dragon parts. I did many iterations, and decided on a ribcage sword. 

I looked into a variety of blade shapes and bases. I thought the ribcage with spines would be a great way to showcase my sculpting ability. 

I started with sculpting the base of the sword in Zbrush. I modeled the blade in Maya, and brought it in for detailing. I did the retoplogy in Maya. The texture painting was done through Substance Painter. The final render was composed and exported out of Marmoset Toolbag.
